We are extremely happy to announce the results of our ninth In-street Monthly Thematic Contest – October, 2018. In-Street Monthly Thematic Contest is a collaborative venture between In-Street Collective and Chiiz Magazine. Winners of this Thematic contest will be featured in the upcoming issue of Chiiz magazine and/or will receive Free digital subscription of Chiiz magazine.
The Street Photography Contest Theme for October, 2018 was ‘FUN IN STREET’.
We received lots of great images during October 01 – October 12, 2018 in our FB group. Thank you so much friends for your enthusiastic response and huge participation. We are very happy to see many images with some innovative interpretation of the monthly theme. It was a tough and exciting job for us to choose the best ones from so many great images.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners along with 7 other honorable mentions.
We also have a special winner this time – The Mentor’s Choice image chosen by our Guest Mentor Suresh Naganathan.

[In-Street Review] Love the moment which is decisive and the emotions (fun, happiness, surprise), colors, gestures and the body language of each and every character play important factor for this photograph to make it the 1st Place Winner.

October, 2018 Monthly Thematic Contest Mentor’s Choice Image
[Guest Mentor’s Review] This image is about a fun-filled event, a race between children. We can see many children smiling and laughing. That itself fits the theme of the competition very well. The lighting is also nice and effective. However, what elevates this shot for me is the timing at which Hiren took the shot. With all the kids floating, we enter a supernatural realm. This is not a sack race anymore, this is a floating race between magician apprentices!
That’s the type of stories that makes it really fun for me.
