We are extremely happy to announce the results of our sixteenth In-street Monthly Thematic Contest – May, 2019.
The Street Photography Contest Theme for May, 2019 was ‘Human in Geometry’.
We received lots of great images during May 01 – May 12, 2019 in our FB group. Thank you so much friends for your enthusiastic response and huge participation. We are very happy to see many images with some innovative interpretation of the monthly theme. It was a tough and exciting job for us to choose the best ones from so many great images.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners along with 12 other honorable mentions.
We also have a special winner this time – The Mentor’s Choice image has been chosen by our Guest Mentor lker Karaman.
So here is the result… The winner is – Joydeep Deb !
[In-Street Review] The purpose of introducing geometry in an image is to keep the viewers engaged within the frame. When composing this image, Joydeep has added geometric patterns or basic shapes such as circles to give a structure and organization within the photograph. The human mind perceives circles as completeness. In this image Joydeep has conformed to both true and perceived form of geometry. His creative sense by using a human form as the subject has made this image perfect for the theme ‘Human in Geometry’, while keeping the viewers entirely engaged to the structured geometric frame.
Second place goes to Ilan Ben Yehuda !
Third place goes to Aniruddha Guha Sarkar !
And the Mentor’s Choice goes to the same above image of Ilan Ben Yehuda !
[Guest Mentor’s Review] Shadows are nicely distributed on the walls. The lovely light of golden hour creates a magical atmosphere.
Finally, here are other 12 Honorable Mentions !
Many congratulations to all the respective photographers! Cheers!
