We are extremely happy to announce the results of our thirteenth In-street Monthly Thematic Contest – February, 2019.
The Street Photography Contest Theme for February, 2019 was ‘IN YOUR FACE’.
We received lots of great images during February 11 – February 22, 2019 in our FB group. Thank you so much friends for your enthusiastic response and huge participation. We are very happy to see many images with some innovative interpretation of the monthly theme. It was a tough and exciting job for us to choose the best ones from so many great images.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners along with 9 other honorable mentions.
We also have a special winner this time – The Mentor’s Choice image has been chosen by our Guest Mentor Dmitry Stepanenko.

[In-Street Review] The first thing that one notices when looking at the Rimita’s image is the magnetic glare of the subject. The expression is so strong that it stops you right on your track and just makes you look at him. Then, you start noticing other elements about the characters: the strong lines on the forehead, his posture, his expression and it just makes you wonder. Who is he? How did he lead his life? Besides the fantastic character, Rimita also made great composition choices: the color scheme, the texture of the image, the fact that there are no other elements to distract you from the man. Photography is all about unanswered questions and Rimita did a fantastic job in this image. !!!

[Guest Mentor’s Review] First of all, I wanted to say thank to to the In-Street group for having me, it was my pleasure and a great experience. I was delighted with the overall quality of works received over the last 10 days or so. This was a truly challenging theme so well done everyone!
My vote goes to the above photo by Rimita Sen. It has a strong character, very nice colour and texture and creates strong emotions.
