We are extremely happy to announce the results of our twenty-seventh In-street Monthly Thematic Contest – April, 2020.
The Street Photography Contest Theme for April, 2020 was ‘Stay at Home’.
We received lots of great images during April 01 – April 12, 2019 in our FB group. Thank you so much friends for your enthusiastic response and huge participation. We are very happy to see many images with some innovative interpretation of the monthly theme. It was a tough and exciting job for us to choose the best ones from so many great images.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners along with 11 other honorable mentions.
So here is the result… The winner is – Angelo G. Rodriguez Feliciano !
[In-Street Review] In light of the worldwide situation with the pandemic, April’s monthly thematic competition was to take our street & candid photography and bring it back to our homes. Our members opened their houses to the group and gave us access to wonderful, thoughtful, soulful images of their inner sanctum. Many submissions were fantastic but Angelo’s image wins this month’s competition: His image not gave us a glimpse of his home but also seemed to have opened a portal to a very surreal land filled with art and strange busts (or are these dead bodies?) The mix of home coziness and overall strangeness echoes very well the feeling that I am sure so many of us have in these strange times. On top of that, the image is superbly composed and packed with information and things to see across the frame. I wouldn’t mind spending an evening in this environment once the pandemic is over!
Second place goes to Joy Dutta !
Third place goes to Roshan Abbas !
Finally, here are other 11 Honorable Mentions !
Many congratulations to all the respective photographers! Cheers! Stay Home, Stay Safe!
